As I sit in the green room before my Manchester, UK show, listening to a cool acoustic guitar/girl rock duo cover Sara Bareilles’ “Love Song”, I’m coming up with all sorts of topics to write about so stay tuned, as I’ve got tons of train rides and airplanes to write….. The Ins and Outs of Traveling With A Ton Of Gear; Budgeting a Tour; The Other Bands on the Bill; Keeping In Touch While On Tour; What To Wing and What To Plan (I’ve got a LOT to say on this one), and other fun stuff…. The biggest thing I am learning is I really need to trust my gut (I had a funny feeling the keyboard wasn’t going to show up on time and should have scheduled an hour earlier), and talk to people- we would have spent hours looking for our train platform if we hadn’t asked which one it was, AND people selling travel tickets are much more likely to give you the best deal as supposed to guessing what the automated ticket machine is telling you is the best deal. True.
I will come back and make this entry sound less like I just drank too much gin and tonic with a jet-lagged headache. (Not that that’s true…) But for now, stay tuned, and check out my tour video blogs at www.cbemusic.com.
